MAJOR ACTIVITIES AND ACHIEVEMENT OF THE ACADEMY

According to the scheduled action plan, the remarkable achievements and activities of the academy are as follows:

Establishment of Social Science Research Center

Establishment of Social Science Research Center

The Academy is recognized and affiliated by the Vikram University, Ujjain as a Social Science Research Center (Sociology and History subject). The research center is being provided guidance by the necessary research facilities and faculty members. About 55 researchers have so far received help in the research work in Sociology and History of the Center, under the leadership of the Scholar Researchers, various research projects / researchers have taken PhD level research work study are available. Presently many researchers PhD under the center for the title is researched. The respected services of 5 scholars specialists in the center are available as research director.

Library and Documentation Center

The main texts on Dalit literature, Indian society, religion, philosophy, politics, economics, history etc. are collected in the academy’s library. In the library, journals, journals etc. have been collected, centered on the Dalit problems published from different parts of the country. The specialty of research-study in the library is being developed and being developed as a rich documentation center. At present, a total of 3700 books are collected under the Library and at least 30 national-day journals and journals are being provided in the academy reading room. Benefits are being received by local researchers / writers and well-researched readers of the available languages, correspondence and reference material facilities related to the universities of the country.

Documentation / Documentation related to the development / problems related to the weaker section of SC / ST and society related to documentary, journals, journals and government schemes / information sources, news articles, study conclusions, survey reports, etc. have been documented / documented.

    At the time, special programs have been organized by the Academy on the inspiring
    events of the great men, under which every year Dr. B.R.Ambedkar, Sant Ravidas, Saint
    Kabir, Saint Balinath etc. have been involved in cultural programs including special lectures
    on the Jayanti festival of the greatmen, Kavyogoshthi / Adbei Deshast, Essay Competition
    and Book Exhibition.

The Academy has decided to organize Smriti Lecture in memory of the founder president of the Madhya Pradesh Dalit Sahitya Akademi and the memory of the former MLA Dr. Avantika Prasad Murmut, in memory of the fame-literary world.

Establishment of Dalit Sahitya Akademi Award

Establishment of Dalit Sahitya Akademi Award

A high level Dalit Sahitya Akademi Award has been established with the aim of rewarding the masterpieces (texts) created in the field of Dalit literature, history, art and culture. Under this national level award, presently, the prize money in the form of a certificate is Rs. 15 thousand and the second rupee is fixed 10 thousand. Selection for the award is done on the recommendation of a high level “deciding board” according to the scheme / procedure given in the “Dalit Sahitya Akademi Award Rules”. The award under the scheme has been well-rewarded for the Dalit and non-Dalit writers of 33 selected works from 1994 to 2006.
