- State-level one-day workshop on Challenges and Organizational Solutions presented to
Dalit Lecturers in the month of September, 1996 in Ujjain - Understand the development and problems of scheduled castes and prepare the role of research. A discussion on the origins and development of the Barwa caste on April 14, 1995

At the time, special programs have been organized by the Academy on the inspiring
events of the great men, under which every year Dr. B.R.Ambedkar, Sant Ravidas, Saint
Kabir, Saint Balinath etc. have been involved in cultural programs including special lectures
on the Jayanti festival of the greatmen, Kavyogoshthi / Adbei Deshast, Essay Competition
and Book Exhibition.

The Academy has decided to organize Smriti Lecture in memory of the founder president of the Madhya Pradesh Dalit Sahitya Akademi and the memory of the former MLA Dr. Avantika Prasad Murmut, in memory of the fame-literary world.

Establishment of Dalit Sahitya Akademi Award
Establishment of Dalit Sahitya Akademi Award
A high level Dalit Sahitya Akademi Award has been established with the aim of rewarding the masterpieces (texts) created in the field of Dalit literature, history, art and culture. Under this national level award, presently, the prize money in the form of a certificate is Rs. 15 thousand and the second rupee is fixed 10 thousand. Selection for the award is done on the recommendation of a high level “deciding board” according to the scheme / procedure given in the “Dalit Sahitya Akademi Award Rules”. The award under the scheme has been well-rewarded for the Dalit and non-Dalit writers of 33 selected works from 1994 to 2006.
